Tips for Pokemon Fire Red
We have great cheats and codes on our site and a complete pokemon fire red walkthrough for Pokemon Fire Red. If you’re not looking for a handy guide, these great tips for playing the game will help you with the most important parts.
Here are the best tips we could find for playing Pokemon Fire Red.
Which Starter to Pick
At the beginning of the game, Professor Oak gives you the choice of which starter Pokemon to give you. You can only choose one (unless you cheat – How to Get All 3 Starters), and each starter Pokemon has different strengths and weaknesses.
Charmander:
If you choose Charmander, the first two gyms will be harder because Charmander is a fire type, and the first gym is made of rocks and the second gym is made of water. Charmander has a lot of problems, but the rest of the gyms are easy.
Bulbasaur:
I would choose Bulbasaur because, as I said, the first two gyms are made of rock and water, which are weak against Bulbasaur. However, the seventh gym is made of fire, and by the time you get to the seventh gym, you need a water type to get to the island.
Squirle:
Squirtle would do well at the first gym, tie at the second, and then struggle at the third gym because Raichu is a lightning type.
How to Catch Snorlax Best
You can only catch a Snorlax twice in the game unless you use cheats. So if you want to add him to your collection, you need to make sure you catch him instead of killing him. Here are some great tips. How to Catch a Snorlax (Trick) Our tip tells you the best Pokemon to use to catch a Snorlax and the things you’ll need on your quest.
Getting a Lucky Egg
Go to the Safari Zone and try to catch Chansey. Eventually, you might catch a lucky egg instead. You can get up to 10,000 XP for your Pokemon with a lucky egg, so it’s worth trying to find one. There are more details about this tip and some member comments about how they used this tip to get lucky eggs in Pokemon Fire Red here.
Here you can train for a lot of XP.
If you want to get a load of XP for your Pokemon, go to Kindle Road on One Island and use the vs. Seeker to battle the fighter type trainers. You’ll get a lot of XP in no time.
Conclusion
In spite of your preferences and taste, inventions and developments for games should have gotten a lot better, especially in the last 20 years. Today, arcade and “Battle Royale” games are what everyone wants to play.
But not everyone likes these new games with a lot of graphics. So many people like games that have been around for a long time. Of course, one of the games is Pokemon Fire Red, which we mentioned above, along with all the cheats and how to walk.
